RFF Partners with Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA to offer Healthy Snacks to Kids

July 30, 2010

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA has always worked hard to ensure that the kids they served learned how to stay healthy for life. Yet in this economy, it wasn't always easy to offer low-cost healthy snacks to kids. Often having to resort to Cheez-its and gummies, the Real Food Fight and their partner, the Chapel Hill Whole Foods store, stepped in to help.

For the next year, Whole Foods will donate to the YMCA's afterschool program healthy snacks such as fruit and lightly processed snacks with natural ingredients. This donation will occur once a week during Afterschool, which occurs from 3 PM to 6 PM

It is an exciting partnership and one we promise to keep you updated as the school year starts.
